Serving as primary contact with research participants from sensitive and clinical populations (veterans, people with Alzheimer’s dementia, suicidality, insomnia, substance use disorders, and mood disorders)
Determining eligibility of and obtaining informed consent from participants
Conducting cognitive and diagnostic interviews, administering cognitive and neuropsychological tests, structured clinical interviews
Attaching and calibrating polysomnography and EEG equipment, running fMRI scanning sessions and pre/post scan procedures, collecting actigraphy data, specimens, and medical information
Managing large, complex data sets and running statistical analyses to reveal underlying patterns, correlations, and trends, collecting, managing, and pre-processing patient and laboratory data for clinical research
Developing and updating study protocols, SOPs, CRFs, and checklists
Ensuring compliance with GCP, FDA, NIH, and institutional regulations, research protocols, auditing CRFs for completion and accuracy, reporting protocol deviations, and preparing for site visits from regulatory authorities
